Microsoft is Getting Rid of Passwords in Windows 10 Next Year

Microsoft's New Stranger Things-Inspired Windows 1.11 App Is Coming Soon

Go passwordless with Microsoft accounts on your device: For improved security and a more seamless sign-in experience, you can now enable passwordless sign-in for Microsoft accounts on your Windows 10 device by going to Settings Accounts Sign-in options, and selecting "On" under "Make your device passwordless".

Anyway, the latest Windows 10 Fast ring update brings other upgrades as well - the Your Phone app's Phone Screen feature is now available on more Surface devices, including the Surface Pro 6, and the Surface Laptop 2.

As it stands, Microsoft is already testing out the feature in the latest Windows 10 Insider Preview Build 18936 (20H1).

If you're in the Windows preview program, you can access this feature by heading over to your Settings then Accounts. Users can try switching to using a PIN or, if their device permits, fingerprint, and facial recognition via Windows Hello Face.

Microsoft is preparing to usher in a password-free future, at least when it comes to its Windows 10 operating system.

With the Windows 10 May 2019 1903 update, Microsoft has given back the control to the users. Your accounts might be based on passwords, but you certainly don't type them in every day.

The new feature update for Windows 10 has had its share of issues but was not almost as buggy as the Windows 10 version 1809 update that Microsoft had to pull for about six weeks because of major issues.

The support for FIDO2 security keys in Azure AD is now available in public preview.

Moreover, a new option to create a quick event from the Task-bar by clicking on the date in the task-bar is also added. We may not require a password manager or we will not have to avoid reusing passwords.
