Fortnite Patch v6.21 Adds Balloons, New Fortnitemares Challenges

The current Fortnite event, Fortnitemares, will be coming to a close on November 4 at 1pm ET and will usher in what the Fortnite Twitter account is calling a "one-time event".

This update came after the news was confirmed by Epic Games on twitter saying "Downtime for the v6.21 update has started". This is really a game changer as it will allow the Nintendo Switch users to play Fortnite with the help of Pro Controller on Switch. At least now that glider re-deployment has been added to the battle royale mode, players won't have to worry about falling to their deaths. The Semi-Auto Sniper and Guided Missile won't be missed but the Dual Pistols were a viable close range option when you didn't find a shotgun or submachine gun.

Epic explains in today's patch notes that Balloons will drop in stacks of 20 from floor loot, chests, supply drops, llamas, and vending machines.

It's scheduled to occur just after Fortnitemares ends, and nobody (except Epic) knows what's in store for the game afterward. The new update is release for PS4, Xbox, PC, Nintendo Switch, iOS and Android as well.
