Fortnite Season 6 Trailer - Darkness Rises and Brings New Map Changes

Fortnite is gearing up for Halloween. We'll get into that and one of the most powerful vaulted weapons in Fortnite history in this video as well as every vaulted item in the game.

One of the biggest changes to the map this Season is the Haunted Castle location.

Season 6 of Fortnite will last about 11 weeks, with new weekly challenges coming out for those who get the Battle Pass for 950 V-Bucks.

It appears the Cube may continue to grow through Season 6 according to the following assets in the CubeGrowth folder.

Once again, the most significant changes in Battle Royale are to the map.

The cube has made the lake erupt and it turned the center area into a floating island.

As for the map, players will find that there are "corrupted areas" now (dark patches in image above), which is where you may come across Shadow Stones. Corrupted areas have Shadow Stones scattered about, which should be consumed to "uncover their power". But you can sneak up on your opponents with increased movement speed and jump height, then shoot them in the back once the effect has worn off.

Not only is this a nice addition to those looking to collect everything going, but also, they often lead to extra Battle Stars to help you progress through your Battle Pass. Remote explosives, the LMG, Impulse Grenades and Bounce Pads have also been removed from the game.

As you can see in the Tweet above, Calamity's dance adds a bit more realism to the overly-cartoony game.

Other items have been tweaked.

The double barrel shotgun damage has been reduced. Cute, right? But if you look closer, you can see this week's Battle Star in plain sight. They don't go much, but they will react to different situations and they're incredibly cute. Remember, this will give you a free tier in your Battle Pass to snatch it up when you have the chance.
