Melania visits US-Mexico border as Congress delays vote on family separations

Photos of Melania wearing the jacket while en route to an immigrant children's detention center in Texas began circulating online, prompting many to criticize her choice of wardrobe, which is what led to the president's response.

With that said, the First Lady was either made aware of her mistake, or figured it out herself, as she disembarked the plane in Texas, wearing a cream colored military-style jacket instead.

A tone-deaf sartorial decision - or a hidden message from the first lady? "There's no message. I hope we can talk about her important visit with children today rather than her wardrobe choice". She put the jacket back on as she disembarked from her plane back at Joint Base Andrews near Washington, D.C. This jacket certainly seems like quite a misstep on her part, potentially feeding into Melania Trump's critics' claims.

The more conservative bill would deny the chance of future citizenship to "Dreamers" - immigrants brought illegally into the United States years ago when they were children.

When asked whether the first lady had seen the images of detained children, Grisham said she had.

"I'm here to learn about your facility which I know you house children on a long-term basis", she said. "Her goals are to thank law enforcement and social services providers for their hard work, lend support and hear more on how the administration can build upon the already existing efforts to reunite children with their families".

England far from flawless but victorious to start World Cup
We have realities that are not there in other continents, but I think that the African continent is full of qualities. They almost grabbed a point, too. "We did the right things and made good decisions and were good value for the win".

The trip comes a day after President Trump signed an executive order ending his controversial policy of family separation for migrant families detained as they're crossing into the US illegally at the southern border.

Later, she toured a section of the facility where the children have bedrooms and was told they maintain their own rooms.

Grisham did not confirm where the jacket came from. "The images struck her as a mother, as a human being".

The last-minute trip to Texas marks the first public action by Mrs. Trump since she announced in May an initiative named "Be Best" to focus on the overall well-being of children and help teach them kindness.

He said word got around during President Obama's tenure that those who would illegally try and cross the border with a minor would "given immunity from prosecution".

As for this visit, Trump was guided around by the Upbring CEO, Dr. Kirk Senske, who told the First Lady: "We're honored to show you our shelter".
