To both everybody and nobody's surprise, Bethesda finally unveiled that an Elder Scrolls 6 was in the works at the very end of their E3 conference, teasing us with a new region that we'd be able to explore.

Starfield is going to be huge for Bethesda. For starters, Bethesda has announced The Elder Scrolls VI, but the studio didn't stop there. Since it's a next-gen game it should arrive on Sony's new PlayStation 5 or Microsoft's upcoming Xbox hardware and may even push both to their limits. Perhaps in a slower cadence than we're used to frim the publisher, we got a whole host a new game announcements that feel a littler further away than you might have expected. Future updates will also have a random arcade-style challenge mode called Moon Crash in addition to a competitive multiplayer mode, where five mimics team up to kill one human player. Like Fallout Shelter before it, Blades is a renewed exploration into the power of handheld devices, and their inter-connectivity with other hardware, such as VR.

Blades looks like a hugely ambitious game and it's clear Bethesda has gone to lengths to ensure it's fully optimised for mobile. It plays a lot like a choose your own adventure book or MUD text video game from bygone years, with Alexa offering you choices of different paths through the adventure.

Plans for a Sequel to post-apocalyptic game Rage were released prior to E3, and Bethesda aired an in-depth trailer for Rage 2 exhibiting some explosive new gameplay this year. It can be hard to bring a console or PC game to the mobile screen, so we are hoping that The Elder Scrolls: Blades turns out well.

Having said that, if visuals are your thing, Bethesda didn't leave you hanging, since they also announced The Elder Scrolls: Blades for mobile devices (and other platforms, but Alexa wasn't specified this time). That is why all those critics argue that the game will be released, most likely, the new generation of consoles.
