Winter Storm WARNING Is Up For Bozeman & Gallatin County

The National Weather Service has issued a blizzard warning is in effect from 1 p.m. Friday to 7p.m. Saturday for a good portion of western and central Nebraska.

Strong northeast gales on the lake will build large waves that could splash over break-walls and beaches and potentially cause damage to infrastructure such as roads, walkways and parking lots. Significant ice build up is possible on Sunday. Rain and possibly a thunderstorm are in the Twin Cities forecast with a high near 40.

Cold air will flood the state with highs on Saturday in the low to upper 40s. However, we should see 6 to 10 or more inches of wet, slushy snow around the Twin Cities metro area. Saturday night is expected to be cooler than Friday night, which will keep the freezing rain threat going, leading to more ice accumulation.
