We're not going to ban Donald Trump

US Vice President Mike Pence on Wednesday defended President Donald Trump's fiery tweets at North Korea, saying the commander-in-chief's clear messaging helped increase pressure on the regime over its nuclear weapons program.

In the past, after receiving many inquiries as to why no action has been taken against Trump's account, Twitter updated its policies to explain why it won't ban him.

It's also not clear if there is an instance in which Twitter would remove a world leader's messages or account. "Blocking a world leader from Twitter or removing their controversial Tweets, would hide important information people should see and debate".

"Twitter is here to serve and help advance the global, public conversation".

In a statement "World Leaders on Twitter", the platform said it would not remove world leaders or censor their tweets because of their "outsized impact" on society.

Each player's score will be calculated by averaging his weighted rank from the fan votes, the player votes and the media votes. The All-Star Game captains and starters will be announced on TNT Jan. 18, and the reserves will be announced Jan. 23.

In an interview with U.S. broadcaster Voice of America, Pence said the president's leadership on the world stage has resulted in "measurable progress", especially on the issue of North Korea's nuclear and ballistic missile programs. "We work hard to remain unbiased with the public interest in mind", it added.

Though, they did say they are "working to make Twitter the best place to see and freely discuss everything that matters", so there's that.

Whether Trump has in fact violated Twitter's policies on user behavior is an open debate. "Any time we have any leader tweet, including Trump, there's a very interesting and thriving conversation".

Other observers have previously called for Trump to be banned from the service, which has become his favorite way of communicating thoughts on topics from the Russian Federation investigation to threats of pulling foreign aid, for allegedly violating its terms of service by flirting with the possibility of nuclear war. Would Rodrigo Duterte get the same pass were he to threaten state-sponsored brutality in specific terms?

In addition to stirring up a new round of criticism and consternation, the tweet also elicited complaints that it violated the company's terms of service.
