The Houston Police Department confirmed to NBC News early Monday that Roland had been reported missing and referred further questions to its public affairs bureau which did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

A United States journalist who has been missing since Saturday was anxious "she was being followed by a blue truck", according to social media.

A reporter for a Texas college football team who mysteriously went missing on the weekend was found on Monday, Jan. 8, Houston police said.

Roland, a Texas A&M correspondent for Rivalsdotcom and AggieYelldotcom, disclosed to Vara the man hurried off in his blue truck when she escaped her auto, NBC member KPRC detailed.

"We do not suspect any foul play or any kind of suspicious activity attached to this incident", Cruz said.

Roland covers Texas A&M football for AggieYell.com and Rivals.com, according to the Houston Chronicle.

Her Jeep was found overnight with her phone and other personal items inside, Houston police said in a tweet.

Brian Perroni, a reporter with sports news site 247Sports and who described himself as a family friend, told NBC News that Roland's vehicle, purse and phone were found in the Galleria mall area Sunday afternoon. "I know Courtney would be praying for you, because that's the way she was".
