George Clooney to Return to Television With Catch-22 Limited Series

George Clooney to return to TV with ‘Catch-22

Almost two decades after George Clooney left the seminal medical drama ER, the actor is making a return to the small screen - and the only catch is the one in the title.

Clooney will play World War Two commanding officer Colonel Cathcart in the proposed TV event, who repeatedly refuses the appeals of a United States airforce soldier determined to get back home.

"Catch-22" - which will have a script written by Luke Davies and David Michod - follows U.S. airman Yossarian and his attempts to avoid the fighting in Italy during World War II, as he knows the situation is likely to end in death. The six-part "Catch-22" is a much smaller time commitment, but it will be fun to see Clooney back on the small screen.

The adaptation is to be co-written by Luke Davies and David Michôd.

Strain on households persists as inflation holds steady
The CPI inflation for October rose to 3.58 per cent from 3.28 per cent reported for September, data released on Monday revealed. The average price of the Indian basket of crude oil rose to $56.06 a barrel in October from $54.52 in September.

A-list film star George Clooney is making his return to television armed with a classic novel, Catch-22. He is in a tough situation because he hates embarking on risky combat missions but can't be relieved from duty because of the frustrating Catch-22 rule.

Richard Brown and Steve Golin will executive produce for Anonymous Content, while Clooney and Heslov executive produce on behalf of Smokehouse.

But he runs up against the army's Catch-22 policy, which states that if someone is rational enough to try to evade combat, they are sane enough to continue fighting.

George will star as the somewhat malicious Colonel Cathcart in the series.
