Another Sexual Predator in Hollywood Faces Allegations

James Toback, 72, this week entirely denied the claims being made in an article by The Los Angeles Times, the author of which said 31 women had spoken on-the-record and more than 70 women had made allegation either on- or off-the-record.

Starr Rinaldi said she was an aspiring actress when Toback approached her in New York City's Central Park about 15 years ago. But the encounters would quickly turn sexual as the director asks the women inappropriate questions such as, "How often do you masturbate?" the report stated.

Following the bombshell reports and accusations about producer Harvey Weinstein's abuse and harassment of women throughout his career, stories have come out on nearly a daily basis about men and women who have faced sexual harassment or abuse over the course of their time in Hollywood.

Toback denied the allegations, telling the Times he had never met the women or if he did it "was for five minutes and have no recollection".

He said it was "biologically impossible" for him to engage in the behaviour described in the report, and claimed that he had diabetes and a heart condition that required medication.

Louise Post, guitarist and vocalist for band Veruca Salt, who in 1987 met Toback at Barnard University, recalled that director told him he wanted to masturbate while looking him in eye. "Going to his apartment has been the source of shame for the past thirty years". "And I deserved not to tell anyone", actress Adrienne LaValley told The LA Times.

Warriors coach Steve Kerr also noted the team's lack of conditioning became further exposed without Green's energy. In 28 minutes of action, Green recorded nine points, 13 assists and 11 rebounds for the Warriors on Tuesday.

Numerous women interviewed quit acting after their alleged encounters with the director, with seven (including one more famous Hollywood actress) wishing to remain anonymous due to the trauma they report to have suffered at Toback's hands, and the control their encounters with him have over their lives, still.

"It's important to say, I don't have any firsthand information about any of this", wrote "Guardians of the Galaxy" director James Gunn in a post on Facebook. "And the awful thing is, whichever road you choose, whether you sleep with him or walk away, you're still broken". "Today, I cried for the first time since then about it", she told the Times. The piece explored the way he allegedly harassed young actresses, though it referred to the women as "pickupees", not victims.

Another well-known actress had a similar experience in 2000 at a Los Angeles hotel during what she thought was to be an audition.

James Toback is accused of accosting at least 38 women.

James Toback attends the premiere of the movie "The Private Life of a modern Woman" presented out of competition at the 74th Venice Film Festival on September 3, 2017 at Venice Lido.
